Justice reinvestment is a localised approach to criminal justice policy. Instead of incarcerating more offenders and building larger prisons, public funds are diverted into local communities to create innovative programs, services, and activities to target and eradicate the root cause of crime in these communities. Together we can all strengthen the areas we live in and make them safer for all.
Olabud Doogethu is a consortium of local community leaders, charitable organisations, and government agencies. We aim to establish a platform to help raise awareness of justice reinvestment, to discuss matters, highlight opportunities and to understand better the needs of offenders and how the community can support them.
